Celebrating 20 Years of EHSports.com
3/5/2021

History was made on March 6, 2001 when the EHSports.com domain was first registered on the Internet.

A few weeks later, the first version of the site was created by six members of Elder’s class of 2001 under the tutelage of computer science teacher Mr. Dave Rapien.  Developing the site was a capstone project allowing the students a real-world opportunity to leverage the database and coding skills they learned during the school year.

The goal for EHSports.com was to create a website capable of being updated by coaches or athletic administrators.  Previously, the task of posting both day-to-day sports scores and historical sports information was handled solely by Mr. Dave Sharp.

Over the past two decades, dozens of Elder coaches, students, alumni, faculty members and friends have teamed up to bring you all of the best content available about the Elder Panthers.  Throughout the rest of 2021, we plan to dig into our archives to bring you some of our favorite old content as we look back at the past 20 years of EHSports.com.
